PRAGNA TRUST (Power for Rural, Awareness, Good Health and Nation's Activities)
Our Trust’s work is vital as it tackles disability sector, empowering the divyang lives brighter and independent.
The Pragna trust is working since 2006 having Children, women and Disable as its focus areas. In the beginning the trust worked under Art and culture wing, it has performed nearly 7500 street plays through-out the Karnataka state. The Pragna trust has a track record of 5000 shows of single street play, i.e. "Badada chiguru" a play about a out of school girl child and the problems she came across and got success to enter the school. Since 2017 the Trust is running "Pratheeksha Center for early intervention and school readiness program" for 20-24 intellectual divyangjan children- Intellectual disability, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and Multi-disabled Category children, funded by National trust, New Delhi. From 2020 we are running a Non Residential special school for the same Category children approved by the State govt of Karnataka without funds. Totally 48 children are getting benefited by our trust. In addition to these works the Pragna Trust is facilitating 25 Hearing Impaired and with speech impairment children by sign language and speech therapy on the basis of week-end classes. The age group of children is 05 to 18 years.
